Do you have a robust knowledge of children’s social work and fostering?
Would you like to make a difference to the lives of children, foster parents and kinship foster carers?
The Pembrokeshire Foster Panel meets once a month to make recommendations as to whether individuals or couples are suitable to foster children for the local authority and carry out annual foster carer reviews.
Pembrokeshire County Council is seeking to appoint an independent fostering panel chair who is willing to attend a monthly Foster Panel meeting (occasionally two per month) and two additional training days a year.
**Travel expenses will be reimbursed as well as a £610 payment for each panel attendance.**
You will be a responsible and trustworthy individual, able to read and absorb a great deal of written information and will live within Pembrokeshire. Knowledge and experience of fostering, either professionally or privately, is essential. Successful applicants will need to provide 2 references and an enhanced DBS check will be required.
