Medical HR Team Leader

We are seeking a friendly and exceptionally well organised person with excellent IT and communication skills to work in the Medical HR Team across the newly formed partnership for Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust and Barnet, Enfield and Haringey to support the HR function of medical staff.

The post holder must be able to work as part of a team and be professional and flexible in their approach to their work and provide leadership and training to the team they will manage. They will be able to communicate with colleagues at all levels and remain calm when working under pressure. The ability to use software and spreadsheets with accuracy is absolutely essential.

To manage and ensure the successful delivery of all operational aspects of the medical workforce service for the Trust, managing a developing a high performing team providing highly specialist medical workforce advice, working in conjunction with Senior Medical Staff within the Trust and reporting to the Medical Workforce Manager. Provide excellent customer service supporting the organisation to each its local and national objectives.

Responsible for the line management of staff within the team and the undertaking of their appraisals.

To provide good leadership in delivering medical workforce functions as a team to Trust stakeholders.

Ensuring that medical staff, senior managers and the HR team as appropriate receive adequate training in Trust policies and local procedures.

To ensuring sickness absence issues for staff are appropriately managed within a policy framework.

Managing two band 5 staff team members and one band 4 team member to deliver a first-class customer focused service.

Deliver clear, consistent, specialist and expert advice to managers and medical staff on all aspects of the medical and dental Terms and Conditions of Service and complex medical workforce issues.

Establish and maintain excellent communication and effective working relations with the whole Trust medical workforce, senior managers and the wider HR Team.

Oversee the sickness absence management for the medical workforce

Oversee the Section 12 rota, junior doctor rotas, daytime and consultant rotas and support the rota-coordinator.

Actively promote equality and diversity within the Medical workforce.

Support the review, development, update and implementation of medical HR policies and procedures to support corporate and clinical aims and objectives.

Develop, implement monitor and review systems and procedures which provide an efficient, effective and quality basis for the provision of a Medical Workforce Service.

Lead on and support as appropriate the implementation of a range of projects designed to support the medical workforce across the Trust
