Buyer

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Buyer to join our team and if you have experience in purchasing of furniture and thrive in bustling environments, this could be the perfect position for you You’ll be supporting the furniture category within the buying department at Rowen, leveraging this role to establish and foster relationships with key brands alongside driving growth in this category.

Operating two distinct and vibrant brands, Rowen & Pink Boutique are leading players in e-commerce & retail within the North East. We specialise in providing fashion and luxury homewares to our customers and are committed to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

Duties & responsibilities of the Buyer:

- Sourcing of new merchandise
- Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating terms of contract
- Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers
- Reviewing existing items
- Researching competitors
- Work to maximise profits
- Keeping up to date with market trends and reacting to changes
- Product development
- Continuously review and improve procurement processes
- Liaising with other departments within the organisation
- Assemble new collections within ranges
- Presenting new ranges to senior manager
- Customer research and feedback
- Work with the Creative, Marketing and fulfilment teams in-house to ensure all aspects of the customer journey run smoothly

We’re looking for someone who has/is:

- Previous experience of working in a similar retail business is essential.
- Proven track record in a similar furniture buying role, with multi product experience required
- A self-starter who thrives in a results driven, creative environment.
- Confident negotiation skills.
- The confidence to proactively open doors.
- Strong organizational skills with an accurate eye for detail.
- Experience working with targets and KPIs.
- Used to working in a busy, high workload department
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and motivate the team

**Salary**: £30,000.00 per year
