**Purpose of the Post**: Proactively assist in supporting, promoting, developing and delivering a wide range of Older People’s Services within the communities in which West of Scotland Housing Association operate. Assist in accessing grant funding and generated income streams, directly work with tenants and communities to develop and implement projects and liaise with partner organisations.

The post holder will be responsible for a combination of the objectives described below dependent upon the requirements of the business.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Undertake the day-to-day line management of Retirement Assistants who are based at West of Scotland Housing Association sheltered housing sites including supervision, appraisal, performance and attendance management.
- Support the recruitment, training and development of staff, students and volunteers.
- Ensure own continuous development through attending team meetings, relevant training and development sessions.
- Support the housing letting procedure for new tenants accessing sheltered housing
- Coordinate an activity, events and group programme which promotes social connectedness, increased health and wellbeing and supports maximising independence for older people.
- Working with partners and local agencies to increase engagement opportunities for older people, to participate in their wider community and prevent social isolation.
- Work in partnership with statutory and voluntary sector organisations, building referral pathways which support the individual needs of older people.
- Undertake relevant research to identify and meet the emerging individual and collective needs of older people, including tenant surveys and changes to legislation.
- Develop and maintain effective monitoring and evaluation frameworks to meet project reporting needs within agreed timescales.
- Store and manage data in accordance with GDPR regulations.
- Produce useful and effective reports to a wide audience, including funders, management and board of directors.
- Undertake basic finance procedures including raising purchase orders, processing invoices and budget management.
- Contribute to the development, updating, implementation and monitoring of strategies, policies and practices related to Community and Support Services.
- Maintain an awareness of changes in the local and national strategies and policies
- In partnership with Housing and Asset Teams, develop, manage and review Health & Safety compliance requirements for each sheltered site.
- Undertake stock monitoring and ordering of janitorial supplies for sheltered sites.
- Undertake risk assessments to identify potential risks and measures needed to mitigate against these risks.
- Provide assistance to tenants in relation to telecare requirements including ordering replacement pendants and supporting telecare system upgrades.
- Be a responsible key holder responding to occasional out of hours call outs.
- Manage TV licence concessionary scheme on behalf of sheltered housing tenants.
- Ensure the values of Willowacre Trust/West of Scotland Housing Association are reflected in their work and that all services provided are delivered in line with our Vision, Mission and Values.
- Support equality of access by identifying and where possible removing barriers to engagement.
