**Job overview**:
This is an exciting opportunity to take on a challenging but varied role within our friendly maternity digital team. The post holder will work with the team to help develop and maintain a robust and comprehensive digital information service that meets the current and future needs of the service users at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and positive person who can work both within the team and independently where required. Your well-developed IT skills will enable you to support the team to ensure that maternity data is accurate, relevant and reported efficiently.

We are a three site trust, and cross site working may be required.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:

- Data quality checks,
- Recognising and escalating queries,
- Supporting with monthly validation of data,
- Writing of appropriate reports.

The post holder must be able to:

- Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word
- Have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Be able to access and use databases effectively
- Knowledge/experience of NHS Patient information systems
- Experience in T-SQL, run, amend, edit queries
- this would be desirable but not essential
- Experience with SQL server reporting services
- this would be desirable but not essential
- Have the ability to manage own time and workload effectively
- Must have report writing and presentation skills
- Must be proactive and self-motivated with ability to motivate others
- Must have a good attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and turn around work requests within tight timescales
