**About Our Client**:
This organisation is a highly reputable player in the property industry, based in Chorley.
- Performing all aspects of payroll processing including timesheet verification, salary calculations, and taxation.
- Maintaining detailed records and payroll documentation for audit purposes.
- Ensuring adherence to all local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to payroll.
- Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee payroll queries.
- Performing year-end processing duties such as W-2 and tax filing.
- Coordinating with the Accounting & Finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Staying updated on payroll systems and legislation changes.
- Collaborating with Human Resources on payroll related matters.

**The Successful Applicant**:
A successful Payroll Officer should have:

- A degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Proficiency in payroll software and advanced knowledge of Excel.
- A solid understanding of accounting principles and payroll practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
- Good interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
