Job Description: Designer

Department: Design

Location: Hinckley, Leicestershire

Position Reports to: Design Manager

Length of Contract: Permanent

**Salary**: Competitive, based on experience

Main Purpose of Job:
To produce detailed drawings for commercial glazing, curtain-walling, cladding, and complete facades.

Main Duties:

- Produce CAD designs for curtain-wall systems using Technal and Schuco systems, commercial glazing, and cladding systems.
- Design to be used as the basis for pricing, scheduling, programming, and project management.
- Designs to include detail, elevation, and location.
- Attend design meetings with external clients.
- Liaise with structural engineers.
- Issue RFI (Request for Information) schedules.
- Produce design reports.
- Prepare schedule of materials required against the design.
- Work with Contracts, Project, and Site managers to ensure production and delivery of design and associated information on time as required.

Person Specification:
Qualifications:

- Essential: Autocad proficient.
- Desirable: CAD Design Qualification.

Relevant Experience:

- Tech Design and/or Schucal System proficiency.
- Scheduling experience.
- Skilled in the production of detailed design in the curtain-wall, glazing, or façade industry.

- Skilled at using Microsoft Office software, particularly strong with Excel.

Pay: £40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
