The Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust (CHFT) is looking for a caring and compassionate individual to work full-time alongside the mortuary supervisor giving assistance to the Cellular Pathology Department.
CHFT has a mortuary based at the Calderdale Royal Hospital and the Huddersfield Royal Infirmary; therefore, there will be a requirement to work across sites.
The role of the mortuary assistant involves caring for deceased patients with respect and dignity and communicating with relatives and service users.
The successful applicant will have worked in a mortuary setting or similar environment with an understanding of the Cellular Pathology Department and basic IT knowledge.
Informal visits are actively encouraged.
