We have an exciting opportunity for an Appointed Person / Rigger to join our client's team at Port Talbot Steel Works

Our client is a well-established and respected presence in the steel industry, with a commitment to quality, safety, and excellence. With their operations based in Port Talbot, they play a crucial role in the production and distribution of high-quality steel products.

As an Appointed Person / Rigger, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing lifting and rigging operations within the steel works facility. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of heavy equipment, materials, and components. You will collaborate closely with other team members, including crane operators and site supervisors, to execute rigging plans and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and review lift plans, taking into account load weights, dimensions, and safety requirements.
- Conduct thorough site assessments to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks associated with rigging operations.
- Coordinate with crane operators, providing clear instructions and guidance during lifts.
- Monitor and maintain rigging equipment, ensuring that it is in optimal condition and compliant with industry standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, fostering a culture of safety and collaboration.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and promote a safe working environment.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as an Appointed Person / Rigger in an industrial setting.
- CCNSG Ticket
- Appropriate certifications for rigging operations and lifting planning.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to rigging and lifting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to precision in all rigging operations.

**Benefits**:

- Competitive hourly wage ranging from £18.00 to £20.00 per hour.
- 6am Starts

**Benefits & Requirements**:

- Hourly rate as above, or the appropriate National Minimum Wage (age dependent)
- 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
