Apprentice Electrician

**Position Overview**

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an apprentice Electrician.

In this role, you will undergo comprehensive training to develop the necessary skills and knowledge required to become a proficient Electrician. This is an entry-level position that offers excellent opportunities for growth in the construction industry.

As an **Apprentice Domestic Electrician**, you will work closely with experienced electricians to learn and develop the necessary skills for residential electrical work. Under the mentorship of our skilled professionals, you will assist in various electrical tasks, from installations to repairs, contributing to the safety and functionality of residential properties. The apprentice program is designed to provide comprehensive training and development opportunities, enabling you to grow into a fully qualified electrician in the domestic sector.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assisting with Electrical Installations: _Under supervision, assist in the installation of electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and circuit breakers in residential properties._
- Electrical Repairs and Maintenance: _Aid in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues, and assist in carrying out repairs and maintenance tasks in compliance with safety and industry standards._
- Safety Compliance: _Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for yourself, your team, and homeowners._
- Material Handling: _Assist in organizing, stocking, and maintaining an inventory of electrical supplies and tools, ensuring readiness for projects._
- Blueprint Reading: _Learn to interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints to understand wiring layouts and installation requirements._
- Code and Regulation Familiarity: _Familiarise yourself with relevant electrical codes and regulations to ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards._
- Collaboration: _Work closely with journeyman electricians and other team members, learning from their experience and acquiring practical knowledge._
- Documentation and Reporting: _Assist in documenting work progress, completed tasks, and any issues encountered during projects._
- Professional Development: _Actively participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your technical skills and knowledge of domestic electrical systems._

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- No prior experience in cavity wall installation required, as this is a trainee position.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Knowledge of construction tools and equipment is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is desirable but not essential as long as the applicant can get to site.
