**About the Role**

We are currently recruiting for a **Scenic Construction & Theming Specialists** **(£12.55 Per Hour)** to join our team. Instrumental to making memorable experiences daily. Working at Britain’s greatest escape is an exhilarating experience in itself and full of remarkable challenges

You will be responsible for the construction and the maintenance of the sets and props for all resort entertainment.

Ensure all work undertaken, workshops, storage venues, installations/de-rigs and entertainments areas are run and maintained safely, in accordance with codes, best practice, legislation and guidelines. Ensure that Health and Safety procedures and legislation are followed at all times.

You'll liaise closely with other members of the team to ensure that creative vision is realised and maintained at all times.

**We are looking for the following skills and experience in**:

- To maintain high standards of quality in all areas of work in line with the expectations of Alton Towers Resort
- Assist in the preparation of seasonal events such as but not limited to Mardi Gras, Oktoberfest, Scarefest and Christmas.
- Moving and assembly of scenic items, props and set pieces as directed.
- Ensure the integrity and quality of all Entertainment Products by conducting regular audits and assessments of the product throughout the season. Take appropriate measures in a timely manner.
- Ensure all props, sets and equipment required for each show are in place and in good condition
- To work quickly, efficiently, responsibly, and collaboratively in your team to deliver the project build as per specification, on budget and to required deadlines
- Ensure good housekeeping of the workshop areas, including adequate clean-up periods and the effective storage of tools, materials and scenery
- Good understanding of health and safety in this particular industry
- Strong practical knowledge of scenic carpentry, prop making & scenic art and the materials/techniques associated with these specialisms
- Driving license, IPAF/PASMA Qualifications desirable
