This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, forward thinking therapist to join the CFHD speech and language tehrpay team and to become part of a waiting list project and to support families who wish to access our advice line

There may be scope for the sucessful applicant to work on a virtual basis
- To assess, diagnose and provide specialist treatment for a complex caseload of all types of communication disorders and delays in children and evaluate outcomes.
- To supervise a small team of Speech and Language Therapists and Speech and Language Therapy Assistant
- To be responsible for flexible and responsive management of the pre school and school aged caseload between therapists
- To provide reports, feedback and statistics reflecting specialist knowledge to referral agencies.
- To inform carers and other professionals on details from specialist assessments

**Communicate with**:

- The Clinical Manager for the Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Service, Children and Family Health Devon
- Other Speech and Language Therapists working within Children and Family Health Devon.
- Educational Psychologists, Head Teachers, Teachers, Classroom Assistants and Early Years staff employed by Devon and Torbay Local Education Authorities.
- Health Visiting and Medical Staff of Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust
- General Practitioners.
- Devon and Torbay Local Education Authorities.
- Parents and Carers.
- Other health professionals
- Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust Management.

**Provide Training and Support for**:

- Parents and carers
- other professionals
- Appropriate Voluntary Organisations, at local level
- Other speech and language therapists

**Attend**:

- Meetings, discussions to provide feedback and reports to other agencies involved with individual patients.
- Attendance at case conferences and meetings concerning patients and their care.
