**Job Title**: Manufacturing Supervisor

**Location**: Gateshead

**Salary**: £30K per annum

**Job Type**: Full-time, Permanent

**Work schedule**: Day shift (37.5 hours) Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm

**URGENTLY NEEDED**

To perform the duties of a Manufacturing Supervisor. Working within a manufacturing company, who supply to the Automotive and Commercial Goods industries. All aspects of Metal Pressings, Machining and Assembly.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the manufacturing departments including Press Shop and Assembly.
- Responsibilities will include the organisation of resource in meeting the daily build requirements along with maintaining the expected quality, safety, and housekeeping standards within the section.
- Monitoring employee productivity and providing feedback.
- Helping to resolve employee issues and disciplinaries
- Assisting with inductions and employee training

**Person Specification**
- Supervisory Experience essential
- Proven Record of leadership skills
- To be able to motivate and manage staff
- To be able to organise your own time, your team and your workload.
- To be able to work to deadlines and work well under pressure and be able to use your own initiative.
- Excellent Verbal and communication skills
- Good people management and organisational skills are essential, coupled with the necessary skills and experience to drive improvement in all areas of the manufacturing sections.
- Experience of power presses, welding (spot & MIG) would be beneficial but not essential along with a background of high-volume manufacturing, preferably with automotive experience.
