Remarketing Service Inspector

With the fast changing used vehicle landscape it is important now more than ever that VWFS used vehicles are prepared to an appropriate standard to ensure that:
- Our network want to buy them
- Our costs are controlled
- Throughput is consistent
- Vehicles are available as soon as possible to satisfy constant demand
Current volume of stock is limited so maximising what we have is key. As the **Remarketing Service Inspector** you really need to have Remarketing experience and love being outside. You could spend significant amounts of time outside but don’t worry, we will provide you with warm clothing and an office.

**This is more about what you could be doing**:
- You will be responsible for field auditing of key vehicle pre-sale processes including vehicle arrival, decal removal (removal of signage), pre inspection wash, grading, refurbishment, parts pricing, tyres, MOT’s, valets, imaging and dispatch
- Responsible for authorisation of vehicle refurbishment within agreed guidelines and tactical initiatives
- Ensuring the budget allocated to refurbishment spend is appropriately used to maximise return on investment
- You will be reconciling back up data for completed work against invoices, checking and approving items for payment
- Responsible for monitoring of stock throughput, ensuring pre-sale processes are prioritised and stock churn targets are maintained
- You will check the condition of stock and escalate any issues regarding damage or inappropriate storage or use of vehicles
- Monitoring the security provisions to ensure that security measures meet contractual obligations and any gaps are immediately addressed and escalated to Remarketing Senior Management
- Responsible for providing factual and accurate reports and summaries for formal supplier review meetings
- You will provide on-site support and guidance for the quarterly stock audit including pre-audit checks of stock at locations across various UK sites
- You also have responsibility for conducting stock audits to meet regulatory requirements and ensure all vehicles are accounted for
**You have the following skills and experience**:
- Experience within Remarketing is preferable to set you up for success in this role, as well as having a detailed understanding of the end to end de-fleet, pricing and remarketing processes
- A thorough understanding of the operational processes at the VWFS de-fleet and auction facilities
- You will have experience of planning a weekly program of work, working under pressure as well as having a flexible approach to work and working hours. You will expected to work in Bruntingthorpe for a minimum of 2 days and up to 5 days every week.
- A full driving licence is essential for this role
- You have the ability to prioritise and plan your own workload effectively to include the completion of audits at various locations and invoice reconciliation in the office
- You are an excellent communicator and maintain a positive and professional manner at all times
- You need to be an “all weather” person as some aspects of this role will be field based and require a significant amount of time outside in all weathers
- You have a keen eye for detail and have excellent report writing and excel skills
- You are resilient and self-motivated and have bags of self-initiative
