We are looking for a talented User Experience (UX) Researcher who is passionate about making a difference in the world through responsible, data-driven innovations.

Based out of the IBM Hursley Design Studio in the UK**, you’ll work closely with a largely co-located cross functional project team (including designers, product managers, and

engineers). Your research findings and insights will drive the design and development of user-centered solutions to ensure our products deliver exceptional user experiences.

As a member of a global design org, you will join an established, growing, and impactful team of user researchers responsible for leading and driving user-centered research initiatives.

Rigor, attention to detail, insatiable curiosity, and a willingness to learn will be critical as you work in this rapidly evolving space in the industry.

**Please note, this position involves working onsite at least 3 days per week at our stunning Hursley location near Winchester where you’ll benefit from our collaborative design studio culture as well as working in-person with your product team mates.

As an Advisory UX Researcher, you will shape UX research strategy, mentor other researchers, and demonstrate impact and influence on product roadmaps. You’ll be uncovering often unarticulated user needs and connecting those to business goals. You will define, prioritize, and execute a program of research using a range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies, and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders. You will identify and connect with our target users, becoming their advocate through research, influencing our product design as to provide innovative solutions that best meet their needs. Your insights will inform products used by customers across the world. You will demonstrate leadership, technical curiosity, and tenacity whilst partnering with some of the leading technologists in the field, and will translate findings tailored for your audience, including senior and executive leaders.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Proven extensive experience conducting user research throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience leading/mentoring other UX researchers and proven experience contributing to the growth of a research practice.
- Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis, and the ability to triangulate customer insights from a combination of data sources to derive meaningful insights.
- Solid understanding of UX principles, design thinking, and human-centered design processes.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to leverage storytelling to effectively convey complex research findings and recommendations to diverse stakeholders. Emphasis on executive-level communication.
- Demonstrated experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving UX research initiatives within an agile product development environment.
- Passion for user-centered design, empathy for users, and a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, User Experience Research, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.
