**Description**:
**Transport Planner**

Escape are seeking a strong Transport Planner to play a vital role for our client in Cumbernauld. We need a highly organised and excellent communicator to plan routes and deliveries/collections in the most cost effective way as well as provide excellent service to our customers and suppliers.

**Working hours are** **Monday to Friday: 7AM-5PM**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Route all vehicles efficiently, considering factors e.g. costs, time and environmental impact
- Plan orders to meet agreed customer delivery times
- Reactive to any disruptions and remediate wasted time and journeys
- Dealing with customer enquiries and bookings in a professional manner
- Working with MS Excel for data input and to keep relevant departments updated

**Key skills**:

- Previous planning/routing experience in a similar role
- Excellent organisational skills
- Problem-solver who is proactive and can prioritise their workload to meet deadlines
- Confident communicator who can work together with internal and external stakeholders
- Good knowledge of Central Belt and West Scotland
