I am currently working with a Primary School in the BS31 area of Bristol who are looking for an experienced Nursery Assistant to work throughout their Nursery and Preschool Classes from January. This is an exciting time to join this early years team as they are expanding their nursery and pre-school. The school has grown rapidly in recent years, and currently has 24 places in their Nursery and Pre-School with growth expected in the upcoming years.

**The Role**

You will be expected to:

- Provide a safe, inclusive and caring environment.
- Communicate clearly with the EY team.
- Be passionate about meeting the needs of all children.
- Inspire and motivate the children.
- Support vulnerable families.
- To continually strive for best practice in yourself and inspire others.
- Deliver pre-planned activities related to individuals’ development - inside and outside activities.

**Working with Long-term Teachers**:

- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the early years
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum to promote learning and development
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Assess and monitor the progress of each child and provide feedback to parents
- Create a stimulating and engaging classroom environment
- Collaborate with other educators to plan and coordinate activities
- Maintain accurate records of each child's development and behavior

**Experience**:

- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting
- Experience in mentoring, tutoring, or working with individuals with autism or special education needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
