Overview:
They have a natural ability for finding top stories within the business to share via powerful storytelling, and are proactive in doing so. Crucially, Haymarket is looking for excellent campaign management experience (internally or externally) demonstrated by successful examples. Where possible these will have a clear sustainability, purpose-driven focus. They can work confidently and effectively with various stakeholders across the business and externally.
This role involves oversight of all communications responsibilities, including conveying the company’s culture and values to internal and external audiences. Keeping up to date with the latest news and trends is an important aspect of their daily routine, and they have a clear interest in the media and publishing industry.
**Key responsibilities**
- Own the delivery of all internal communications across a variety of channels
- Manage Haymarket’s social media channels and corporate website
- Support all corporate news announcements and external communications
- Be the gatekeeper for ensuring alignment on company messaging (including for senior spokespeople) and branding
- Support all communication focused on Haymarket's DEI and sustainability agenda
- Work with our UK charity partner, Skylarks, on all communications related to Haymarket’s fundraising efforts
- Oversee the day to day press office in the UK, with support from the Communications Manager
**Required experience**
- Minimum 1-2 years working in a communications or PR role, in-house or agency. Internal communications preferred but not essential
- Experience working with multiple senior stakeholders
- Running corporate social media accounts
- Have worked on successful communications campaigns and be prepared to discuss these in an interview
- Clear understanding of and interest in driving companies’ sustainability
