**The Job You’ll Do;**
- Facilitate the New Product Development process working with Design, Quality, Production and other KEY depts ensuring optimum Manufacturing solutions are designed, manufactured and approved supporting the industrialisation of both new and modified products/ components in line with pre - determined milestones, process documentation and associated KPI’s.
- Identify opportunities to implement latest appropriate manufacturing technological solutions, ensuring improvements are demonstrated within KPI’s.
- Lead the creation and update of Value Stream Maps to plan improvement activities and track the implementation through the change in Value Stream KEY metrics, (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Cost) of new and existing products / components.
- Through the implementation of Standard Work, calculate the optimum Operator Manning for processes ensuring line balance and Productivity targets are achieved
- Use analytical problem-solving tools to help develop robust solutions to address any issues identified whilst ensuring their seamless implementation into Production.
- Drive Manufacturing Efficiency improvement activities utilising appropriate technologies throughout the life cycle of the product.
- Create and update required Process documentation in line with standards.
- Create cost saving analysis, justifications and close out for improvement activities.
- Support the Manufacturing Value Streams in the creation and sustainability of monthly metrics.
- Carry out waste analysis to identify and remove non-value-added activities and improve value added activities with implementation of appropriate solutions.
- Support training of operators for changes in processes as required.
- Support the completion/update of process instructions.
- Support / Lead Lean Projects that will improve Processes in conjunction with the appropriate Design, Production, Quality and Supply Chain teams.
- Project management - planning & delivery of capital projects relating to the facility.
- Management of budget - Capital & Revenue projects.
- Management of contractors involved with equipment installations & facility refurbishment.
- Data analysis & problem solving to improve the reliability & efficiency of production equipment.
- Provide technical support regarding safety & legal compliance of equipment and facility.
- Development and management of machine safety improvements, obsolescence replacement and refurbishment activities.
- Any other reasonable duties.

**About You;**
- Qualified to HND - HNC level or equivalent experience in Manufacturing Engineering or similar discipline.
- Technical background in manufacturing/FMCG/engineering (preferable).
- Time served apprentice in manufacturing engineering or similar (advantageous).
- Experience with facilities/project management (advantageous).
- Knowledge of automated manufacturing systems / robotics / latest technology and experience within implementation into manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge and understanding of a variety of manufacturing engineering techniques such as time and motion study, ergonomics, workflow design, factory layout design, etc.
- Knowledge and understanding of primary Lean principles such as 5S, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping.
- Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing technology such as FMEA, Design for Manufacture, etc.
- Experience and use of analytical problem
- solving techniques.
- Computer literate with knowledge and use of Microsoft packages and use of CAD systems.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated with a high degree of creativity and initiative.
