**_ Our Deco Maintainer is a critical part of our manufacturing process. You will be working as part of a team within the decorating manufacturing area. You will safely run and maintain manufacturing equipment to meet the production requirements with a product that meets / exceeds the quality standards._**

**Areas of Responsibility**
- To operate and maintenance effective running of process equipment on the manufacturing line.
- To maintain the equipment within their area of responsibility in such a condition that quality standards are maintained. This includes controlling print quality and ensuring an acceptable standard is achieved.
- To carry out the required checks within their area of responsibility as stipulated in QAS. To take the necessary corrective actions and report any non
- conformities to the team-leader and relevant parties.
- Use existing process control equipment and techniques, to analyse HFI issues and implement reduction.
- To maximise production and minimise spoilage during the manufacturing process.
- Daily checks in the area to prevent / reduce spoilage, leaks, spillages and hazards.
- To report potential problems to the team-leader or shift Manager.
- To carry out the necessary safe repairs to equipment as and when required.
- To carry out the set up checks that may follow maintenance work.
- To maintain the housekeeping in a satisfactory and safe condition as per 5s cleaning schedule.
- To maintain safe working practices and comply with any legal environmental and safety requirements and/or checks.
- On maintenance days, carry out repairs, preventive maintenance, etc as directed by the Engineering Dept.
- Use of ancillary equipment i.e.: fork trucks, scissor lifts etc, (following RTITB training).
- To promote quality improvement and preventative actions by involvement in continuous improvement activities to meet the key performance objectives and targets.
- To have good communications with management and colleagues, reporting quality defects, manufacturing difficulties, ideas for improvements, etc.
- To work safely at all times and to report unsafe conditions.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- An apprenticeship in an Engineering/Mechanical discipline
- Preferably a manufacturing background in a high speed, high volume continuous process or similar experience.

**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours**
- Good Computer literacy skills and the ability to generate reports.
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Analytical skills to interpret numerical data and problem solving skills
- Proactive approach to work and willingness to be flexible
- Excellent team worker and proactive in supporting and coaching others
- The ability to work and cope with high pressured situations
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety work practices
- Displays behaviours in line with Ball drive for 10 principles.
