Mobility and convenience (M&C)
Mobility (think transportation fuel of all kinds including new low carbon fuels) and convenience (think groceries, coffees, pastries, etc.) is at the centre of the company’s strategy to reach net zero.

M&C is putting customers at the heart of what we do, helping to accelerate the global revolution in mobility to a low carbon future, redefining the experience of convenience retail, and scaling the business’s presence and fuel sales in growth markets. For example, we recently signed a deal with Volkswagen to roll out 4000 Electric Vehicle charge points across Europe which will make us the market leader in EV across Europe.

**What you will do**:
This role delivers the people plan that enables the business to achieve its goals, providing people & culture support for a broad spectrum of people & culture activities based on advanced experience in this field and ensuring consistent and effective delivery of people & culture initiatives and projects in line with local legislation, policy and best practice.

**This role will partner with 2 enterprises within M&C**:
1. UK Retail Operations. UK Retail Operations is c. 1200 retail/fuel stations across the UK and 6500 employees plus c. 60 employees ‘above site’.

2. Convenience - Convenience is a function that is responsible for driving our convenience growth and is a team of c.120 people spread across Europe. This role will support the leader of Convenience in delivering the people agenda working with people advisors within countries.
- In addition to leading the UK operations team (12 people) this role also has a People Advisor reporting into it.
- Inputs to the definition of the people strategy and help the team to prioritize activities in partnership with the business leadership and entity people & culture leadership team, in support of one people plan
- Support the Retail HR Manager with setting the people plan for the UK Retail operations (which is held separately from the Group people plan).
- Maintains a deep understanding of the business and focuses on driving and delivering organisational change initiatives as appropriate.
- Manages the delivery of people & culture advisory support to leaders through agile teams to facilitate resolution of everyday queries and coaching to drive engagement, pre-empting and resolving employee relations (ER) cases and ensuring that diversity and inclusion are a foundation of the business people plan and supported throughout all people management activity.
- Drives talent management for the business, enabling people to build the capabilities our business values, and ensuring implementation of focused talent management processes that are aligned to business priorities and objectives, monitoring their impact on organisational effectiveness.
- Enables a compliant and high-performance culture through aligned performance management, reward and recognition frameworks, managing the delivery of integrated reward/recognition solutions to the business and overseeing the annual reward process.
- May act as product owner and activity manager for assigned agile team(s) driving the appropriate behaviours to achieve success, including a continuous improvement culture, whilst delivering performance management, technical development and coaching in partnership with line management.
- Ensures personal and team compliance with the function's safety and ethics rules and processes, follows procedures, and provides an exemplary display of company Values & Behaviours.

**What you will do**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Human Resources, or other relevant field.
- Usually requires at least 10 years’ experience in Human Resources,
- proven capability and experience in strategic talent management, ER, change management, and organisational development,
- strong leadership capability with the ability to build capability, coach and drive high performance,
- track record of effective strategic partnering and executive level coaching,
- Experience working in the Retail, hospitality or FMCG industry
- Advanced/Master's degree in Hu
