In this role you'll be taking on a varied accounts assistant position working for a well-known software solution organisation based in the heart of Belper where they'll be lots of opportunities for progression and career development.

Day to day you'll be working in a close-knit finance team of five reporting to the Finance Director and will have a can do attitude to get stuck in to any task that comes your way, you'll get involved in the transactional side of finance managing both purchaseand sales ledger as well as having the exposure to general accounting when supporting the Management Accountant including accruals, prepayments and journal entries with every day providing an opportunity for you to learn something new.

Working for an organisation that has multiple companies across five countries you'll be exposed to how managing the accounts varies in each of locations, get comfortable with foreign currencies and your adaptability as a finance professional.

Ideally to get a head start in this role you'll already have a few years' experience working in finance and be confident with best practice processes for the transactional side as well as excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills and the willingnessto learn and develop.

You'll be based from the head office in Belper initially for training and then you'll work on a hybrid working pattern of 1-2 days in the office a week with the rest at home on a flexible working pattern with, you'll also benefit from 20 days holiday withbank holidays on top, a 5% company pension contribution and private health insurance (both applicable after the probationary period).

**A Bit About You**
- 2-3 years experience in accounts
- Confident with transactional finance
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of accounting software

**What You'll Be Doing**
- Managing accounts payable
- Managing sales ledger
- Reconciliations and payment runs
- Ad hoc support with management accounts
