Imagine being the first-person people meet when they enter our fab new Community Healthcare Hub - Finney House. As our Ward Clerk, you will be right there front and central, with a friendly face, confident manner and empathetic approach helping deal effectively with our residents, staff and visitors. We have only just taken responsibility for Finney House, so you really will be at the forefront of something rather special.

This is not a traditional administrative role, as although you will use your strong IT, communication, organisational and technical skills - you will also be the go between to ensure liaison with family members, feedback to staff and ensuring we run a tight ship with our reception area running like clockwork.

You will build relationships and get to know our residents, after all, we are the ones who are working in the place they live, so it’s our priority to ensure their comfort at all times.

Our team will be committed, motivated and forward thinking - we just need you in this role to complete the picture. Your confidence, reliability and flexibility will stand you in good stead and means you will really complement our team.

Please note you must have current right to work in the UK in order to be considered for this role. Sponsorship cannot be provided.

Providing administrative and reception support to our team, you will help ensure the smooth running of our Hub for our residents, staff and visitors. You will love the variety of the role you do and the people you meet - we actually mean it when we say no two days are the same.

You will need to use your initiative most of the time but you will also have a supportive team around you to help. It is important that you use your organisational skills to manage your workload and ensure tasks are completed timely and any concerns escalated. You will help maintain our records both manual and on the computer system, you will also be responsible for answering the phone, making accurate notes and liaising with other stakeholders as necessary.

If you haven’t already had the experience of working in a similar role, that doesn’t matter, because we are more interested in what you can bring and your personal attributes, the rest can be learned along the way.

It goes without saying that there will be tough days and there will be busy days, but your methodical, practical approach will help you take this in your stride, never veering from your positive outlook.

- Perform an ambassadorial role, representing the Community Healthcare Hub “Front of House” service acting in a professional, courteous and customer-focused manner at all times.
- Answer telephone queries, take messages, direct where appropriate, meet and greet and provide assistance directing visitors to the appropriate location.
- Participate and contribute to developments in Customer Service provisions in line with Trust Policies.
- Use initiative to resolve conflicts in a mutually agreeable way, alerting manager where necessary.
- Takes a supportive role in communicating with all relevant multidisciplinary teams internally and with external organisations as required, to ensure seamless care and integrated patient pathways.
- Ensure that up to date information is available regarding activity within all areas so that queries can be answered promptly and accurately.
- Communicates with a range of staff, users and visitors to the Trust / Department utilising a variety of communication methods including verbal, electronic and passing information in a format that is appropriate to the individual request.
