We’ve had to adapt to new ways of working to ensure we are protecting our teams in the current climate, but we’re busier than ever, growing our product range and want to ensure all our operational functions are ready to proactively contribute to the site’s growth.

**Role Details**

Role: Hygiene Operative (AM Shift)

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday from 06:00am to 14:00pm on our morning shift (AM shift)

**Salary**: 10.97 per hour

Contract: Permanent

To be responsible for effective cleaning across site in accordance with product specification and company standards.

Responsibilities include;
- To ensure that the corridors and all adjoining areas including canteen, changing rooms and toilets etc are free from debris, clean and tidy at all times
- To ensure that all changing areas are cleaned with the appropriate cleaning materials and maintained in a safe condition
- To ensure that both high risk and low risk factory areas are cleaned with the appropriate cleaning materials and maintained in a safe condition
- To ensure the correct wear of PPE, work wear (including footwear) whilst ensuring segregation of areas are maintained at all times in line with Company procedure
- To collect used workwear and prepare ready for collection from service provider and sort and issue as appropriate all clean workwear received from service provider
- To perform tasks as instructed through various training methods including on-the-job and from external providers
- To dispose of all waste as appropriate in line with applicable procedure (Environmental and Health & Safety Regulations) and endeavour to control this to a minimum
- To maintain a working knowledge of allergen awareness to ensure no compromise to product
- To ensure that all tasks undertaken comply with food safety regulations as stated within the relevant Quality Manual

**Skills & Experience**

**Essential**:

- Knowledge of food manufacturing and hygiene

**Desirable**:
Effective communicator

Good Organisational Skills

Ability to prioritise and work through own initiative

Team player with the ability to work autonomously

Good understanding of cleaning practices and disposal

Food Hygiene Certificate (Min level 2)

Chemical Training
