Post Form Setter/operator

RMS are currently recruiting for **Post Form Setter/Operator **to join our client who are a market leader in the design and manufacture of engineered products in Shildon.

You will be ensuring products of the highest standards are manufactured on time and to cost while ensuring that all H&S and quality requirements are adhered to whilst fulfilling customer demand.

**Main duties and Responsibilities will include**:

- An ability to forward think and problem solve by having an understanding of the process, equipment and the products used.
- Ability to set and operate the post forming section of the production line.
- Self-motivated and work towards achieving set KPI’s
- Able to work well within a team and as an individual within the manual operation of the post form area.
- Ability to learn and follow quality expectations/standards.
- Punctual, self-conscious and willing to be flexible including overtime

**Knowledge and Experience required for the role**:

- A thorough and complete understanding of the product, the post former and supporting processes and procedures, which control these activities, to ensure reproducibility of products with effective problem solving, setting and awareness of correction needs.
- Factory based wood machining background is preferred but not essential
- Operator level skills of worktops or similar products from blank to finished product.
- Lock out procedures, Tooling changes and set up of tooling/equipment to required standards, safely and with minimum disruption (smed approach).
- Factory environment experience
- Understanding and be able to follow work instructions (SOP’s) COSHH and risk assessments.

The salary for this role is £10.86 per hour on early shifts and you will receive a shift uplift on the late shift of 10%.

This is a temporary on-going position which will go permanent for the right person. The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, initially on Day Shift for a training period and then on a 2-Shift Rotation which are:

- 6AM until 2PM
- 2PM until 10PM
