Our Business Engagement Skills & Employability (BESE) team is seeking to appoint an Employer Partnerships Officer to support our Skills Injection Fund project on a fixed term basis until March 2024.

Sheffield Hallam University and the South Yorkshire Colleges Partnership (Barnsley College, DN Colleges Group, RNN Group, and Sheffield College) are driving forward a high-level framework for collaborative work focusing on Higher Level Skills across the colleges and the university. The regional offer will reflect priorities for Higher Technical Qualifications, including digital, construction, health and science, business and administration, education and childcare, and engineering and manufacturing.

In addition, this will support the implementation and skills impact of the South Yorkshire Institute of Technology.

Regional Partners will be coordinating a recruitment drive through the Skills Injection Fund project, with SHU playing a coordinating role in terms of schools’ outreach and employer engagement to support College recruitment targets.

You will have knowledge and experience of graduate and placement recruitment, business development and/or account management, delivering an employer engagement service and have a passion for working with businesses to develop and support their growth needs.

You will be responsible for providing diverse and comprehensive expertise in student and graduate recruitment processes, whilst promoting the value of Higher Technical Qualifications to employers in the South Yorkshire Region. As part of an innovative and responsive Employer Partnership service, you will be working closely with the work experience operations team, the student and graduate employability team and academics to understand SME employers’ placement and graduate job requirements along with the work experience team to support placement delivery.
