**Job Description**:
**Goal of position**:
With a technical background, you will develop communications, information, media and documentation to support our product and service portfolio. You will be exposed to all aspects of the product life cycle and make a real impact by developing and communicating the latest technical information to help shape the product user experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop technical content and documentation, such as operating instructions, datasheets, manuals, labels, conformance certificates etc. ,etc., to a professional standard.
- Manage content on our Knowledge Base Sharepoint based Intranet portal for employees and distributors. Assist on access and use of the portal.
- Assist in the development of product information to feed the R&D development process. This includes being involved in shaping the user interface to support customer requirements
- Champion projects and liaise directly with our Research and Development team, and all other departments to create technical content
- Hands on with equipment and user interfaces to understand their operation for both communication and improvement
- Responsible for administration of the translation process, vendors and all external parties
- Keep all product information up to date with the latest technical data, legislation and regulations, and working with your marketing colleagues to ensure these are customer focused.

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**:

- Hands-On Approach to understanding and using technical products and creating content to clearly explain complex information using a variety of media (online, print, video, multimedia, illustration
- Technical Background
- Clear, concise writing and communication style that can suit both technical documentation and online content (including blog content)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication and customer service with an ability to get stakeholders on-board to provide required information
- Team worker - capable of working within the marketing team and liaising with our Development, Engineering and Quality departments to clarify technical issues and illustrate them in a simple manner
- A solid understanding of manufacturing and design principles
- Competent IT skills, experience of working with Madcap Flare, Lingo and Contributor or similar packages (i.e. Framemaker, Robohelp) and proficiency with Microsoft Office & Sharepoint
