We are currently working with our valued client, a to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team in Arbroath on a permanent basis.
Our client is a family owned business who have an established and demonstratable background in delivering works to a high standard and their continued level of service to the wider construction industry has seen them go from strength to strength.As wellas offering a variety of construction services including earthworks, groundworks, agriculture, demolition, haulage, road surfacing and waste management, they are also suppliers of as range of quarry products.The business still has a “family feel” to it andholds the values and principles of a traditional organisation.
They are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to work alongside the team to ensure that projects are agree completed on time and within budget.
**As a Contracts Manager you will be responsible for**:
- Management of site operations
- Client liaison
- Developing new clients
- Preparing and submitting tenders
- Develop and implement the commercial strategy.
- Develop budgets, cost control and identify risks.
- Main Contractor reports & updates
- Director reports
- RAMS
- Managing Budgets
- Material resourcing
- Managing labour/plant
- Negotiation, agreement and administration of contracts.
- Invoicing and preparation of final accounts
**Applicants must have the following**:
- Educated to a degree or HNC level as a minimum in a civil engineering discipline
- Previous civil engineering experience is essential.
- Appropriate knowledge of health and safety policies.
- Methodical approach to tasks undertaken.
- Good analytical & problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication and liaison skills
- Experience of building and maintaining good working relationships
- Competent with all forms of contract and standard methods of measurement
- Full UK drivers license.
