**SUMMARY OF POSITION**

To provide a high standard of service and presentation to customers at all times. Ensure a ‘positive’, ‘can do’ attitude.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Preparation of Service**
Ensure familiarity with beverages (alcohol/non alcohol) on menu
Ensure bar area and tables are clean and tidy

Ensure familiarity with dishes on menu and the way they are cooked and served

Liaise with RM/ARM with regards to wines/drinks that should be predominately served with dishes

**Communication**
To effectively communicate to all customersTo liaise with the RM/ARM on the menu and beveragesAttend staff meetings when requested
**Delivery of Service**
To greet and receive customers in your allocated areaTo interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinksPass information promptly and accurately to kitchenTo assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendationsTake food and drink orders ensuring prompt and accurate serviceTo mix ingredients to prepare cocktailsTo check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age as per Challenge 25Stay customer focused and nurture an excellent customer experienceServe food and drink ordered to customers to a high standard as set by the RM/ARMComply with all beverage regulations
**Safety and Hygiene**
Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy and that you are aware of the necessity for high standards of health and safety and hygiene.Take all relevant steps to mínimalise risks by ensuring that any real or potential risks are reported to the RM/ARM immediatelyEnsure restaurant emergency, fire and accident policies and procedures are complied with.

Undertake any reasonable duties as dictated by the RM/ARM that are within skills and capabilities**.**

To perform in a professional and confidential manner which promotes the business in a positive manner.

**Pub/Restaurant knowledge**

Maintains background knowledge of the Gainsborough

Be active in ensuring knowledge is current of the local area

**Customer Information**

Be instrumental in obtaining feedback from customers whether good or bad

Provide customer feedback to RM/ARM

**General Administration**

Always adhere to all Company policies and procedures and licensing laws

Knowledge of a range of dishes and/or wines/cocktails

5 days / 42 hours a week

3 days waiting tables with expectation to help on bar as necessary.

2 days bartender.
Waiting and bartender experience is essential but cocktail training will be provided.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

- Bath, BA1 1QY: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
