Responsible for: a pro-active, empowering approach to the safety, health and well-being of all victims of domestic abuse.

**Responsibilities**:

- Empower service users toward positive outcomes
- Complete initial and ongoing safety planning, risk management assessments and make safe decisions in the interests of service users
- Empower service users to identify and achieve their goals
- Support with budgeting, substance misuse, mental health and parenting skills
- Advocate for women with external agencies and promote social justice
- Ensure that the health, wellbeing and rights of women and children are promoted throughout service delivery
- Maintain accurate records regarding all service users
- Promote strong partnerships and positive internal and external relations

**Essential Criteria**:

- Knowledge of domestic abuse, it’s impact and remedies
- Feminist understanding of women’s issues
- A non-judgemental approach
- Resilience and an open mind
- Work as a team with other staff, volunteers and partner agencies
- Ability to communicate with, and relate to, women from all backgrounds.
- Non-directive, empowering approach to work
- Ability to work on own initiative/ under pressure and as part of a team
- Good IT, recording and communication skills
- A commitment to safeguarding adults and children and working within safeguarding procedures
- Willingness to learn and research to support your personal development
- Knowledge of substance misuse and mental health issues
- A car driver and have use of a car

**Desirable**:

- Experience of working with people with complex needs
- Housing-related knowledge and understanding
- Mental health and substance misuse knowledge/understanding.

Part-time hours: 21-37 per week

**Salary**: £22,369.00-£26,858.00 per year
