The Manager is also responsible for managing staff, coordinating maintenance andrepairs, and ensuring that the hostel is compliant with local regulations.
- **Key Responsibilities**:_
- Manage day-to-day operations of the hostel, including maintenance, cleaning, security, and administration.
- Supervise and train staff, including cleaners, maintenance workers, and receptionists.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, including resident files, financial reports, and maintenance logs.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the hostel to ensure compliance with local regulations and best practices.
- Respond to resident complaints and concerns promptly and professionally, and work to resolve issues as quickly as possible.
- Coordinate with external service providers, such as contractors and suppliers, to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance and repairs.
- Manage the budget for the hostel, including revenue and expenses, and report regularly to senior management.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, staff, and other stakeholders, and promote a welcoming and inclusive community atmosphere.
- Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to attract and retain residents.

- Qualifications:_
- Bachelor's degree in business management, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in hospitality management, property management, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and documentation.
- Knowledge of local regulations and best practices related to student housing and hospitality management.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
- The Student Hostel Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that the hostel provides a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for students.
