Group Sales Controller

**Job Overview**:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Group Sales Controller at Archwood Group, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of stair parts, decking and mouldings.
As a Group Sales Controller, you will be a key member of the team reporting directly to the Director of Sales, being responsible for providing in-depth analysis and support on all commercial activities across the brands within the Group.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the overarching sales strategy of the Group.
- Responsible for spearheading crucial initiatives and driving engagement with key customers and market sectors.
- Essential involvement in ongoing customer profitability assessments and implementing resulting strategies.
- Regular review of sales performance in all areas vs forecast and interrogation of any trends or anomalies to ensure consistently high OTIF figures, keeping stock holding at desired levels
- Support the process of NPI into our customers, primarily around product data requirements and ensuring product setup is aligned for both parties
- Building and maintaining relationships with key commercial stakeholders and ownership of customer specific forecast details.
- Lead negotiations of trade agreements with key customers with a strong understanding of the trading deals in place for the large national retail/trade customers alongside the buying groups, support in deal reviews and input on future deal structures.
- Overseeing merchandising expenditures and assessing the return on investment for customer-specific investments.
- Management of selected project activity with trade nationals and large buying groups.
- Daily engagement with both internal and external teams to optimise sales opportunities and ensure timely delivery.
- Management of stock unit levels, facilitating merchandising/POS requests and driving the development of new racking solutions for branch/store where applicable, from concept stage through to stock management.
- Close collaboration with the Group Sales Office Manager and Marketing team to ensure seamless integration between Sales and Marketing efforts.
**What are we looking for?**
- Previous Commercial experience in a similar role is essential.
- Must have previous sales forecast management experience.
- Extensive people management experience.
- Experience in external sales visits, including self-generated call plans.
- Strong analytical and computer skills, namely Excel & PowerPoint.
- Self-motivated and results driven with a tenacious problem-solving approach, proactively seeking solutions.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels, with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to communicate with data and facts.
- Highly organised and efficient at handling demanding workloads.
- Proactive and committed to developing new relationships.

**Location and working pattern**:Mon-Fri, 37.5 hour week, based at our Chirk site - home to our manufacturing and warehousing facility.
Pay: £55,000.00 per year
