Filby Hall Children's Home is looking for dynamic positive person to join its team of carers supporting children aged between 8 to 18 years living in residential care. We are looking to employ people who can provide support and care through all the challenges the looked after children face. Someone with life experience and skills, who can support children with positive development such as social interaction, sports, music, cooking and art.

At least 2 years Full UK Driving Licence essential, own car to commute required, business insurance is also useful. The home is in a rural location and has a limited number of its own vehicles to transport residents.

As an RCP at Filby Hall, you will practice the highest standards of childcare and effectively safeguard our children all times. Working with them to establish a positive routine, and help assist with day to day life skills, monitor and record their health and wellbeing daily.

You will take on a Key Worker role and be their main point of contact for help and support. This involves driving children to contact meetings with their families/carers, and meeting face to face and online with professionals. You will contribute to the young peoples essential documentation, including daily records and general chronologies, evidencing and recording day to day activities, incidents and the voice of the child.

Shifts are based on a 4 week rolling rota (2/3 shifts he week), involving sleep ins, weekend and weekday work, with a nightly bonus for sleep ins.

All staff are responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy home, to report property defects and damage to Management, and to help cook and clear up after mealtimes.

Qualification: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (England), or equivalent Level 3 Diploma (or higher) will also be considered.

Other qualifications required: GCSE passes in Maths and English.

Experience using Microsoft Excel & Word required.
