Price Express Transport Limited is a well-established specialist handling transport company, primarily delivering commercial catering equipment, IT cabinets and cash machines. We operate a large fleet of 3.5t - 18t vehicles nationwide, from our main sites in Doncaster / Barnsley and depots in Bristol and Felbridge.

**Payroll Administrator**
This job entails preparing and processing of monthly payroll for approx. 85 salaried employees and 5 hourly paid employees to include bonuses, pension input, attachment orders, contributory health scheme, manual pay elements and statutory payments. 26 - 28 hours per week required, with flexibility over days and hours. Potential for some remote working following successful probation period.
Duties include;
- Overseeing attendance management system for new starters /leavers, timesheets and absence, liaising with managers as necessary to obtain information
- Monitoring documentation related to absence or statutory leave and first point of contact for HMRC queries
- Inputting and managing spreadsheets and exported data to check hours and prepare payroll
- Processing of SSP, SMP and SPP and Apprenticeship Levy Scheme
- Payroll month-end and year-end KPI’s / Reporting / Closing
- Responsibility for keeping software updated and fit for purpose
- Processing bank payments and pension payments as directed by the Financial Controller
- Processing of agency staff payments
- Monitoring absence, sickness, annual leave and NMW in partnership with HR.
- General ad hoc assistance in the finance team to cover holidays, sickness, and busy periods
Applicants must have;
- Excellent telephone manner and experience in building relationships with external bodies and colleagues, both written and oral
- Excellent Excel Skills - Intermediate Level or above
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Integrity and discretion
- Speed and accuracy in processing, with a methodical approach
- Excellent record of punctuality and attendance, and flexibility booking holidays to work around payroll processing times
- Ability to work across departments in a changing and flexible environment, and be able to learn/adapt quickly
- Must be able to travel between sites, particularly Barnsley site as required.
