Citizens Advice New Forest is proud to be recruiting for a project focusing on Debt Advice, funded by the National Lottery. As a Debt Advisor with us, you'll be at the forefront of this initiative, working closely with our team to deliver high-quality debt advice to those who need it most.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide practical, high-quality debt advice to clients, helping them gain control of their finances.
- Work collaboratively with clients to develop personalised action plans and provide ongoing support as needed.
- Advocate for clients' needs and ensure they have access to relevant resources and support services.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress towards financial goals.
- Previous experience in providing advice to a caseload of clients, debt advice or financial counselling or transferable skills in the way of providing support to others is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to empathise and build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organisational skills, the ability to work autonomously with great attention to detail.
- A resilient individual with the ability to deal with complex and potentially difficult situations
- A commitment to upholding professional ethics and confidentiality standards.
- Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be commutable to the office in Basingstoke.
