Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Material Planner to join our team. As a Material Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the flow of materials within our supply chain. Your role will involve analyzing data, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support production.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with suppliers, production teams, and other stakeholders to develop and execute material planning strategies
- Analyze demand forecasts and create material requirements plans to ensure adequate inventory levels
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase orders or production orders as needed
- Coordinate with 3PL providers to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Utilize warehouse management systems and other software tools to track and manage inventory
- Continuously evaluate and improve material planning processes and procedures
- Conduct regular analysis of material usage, lead times, and supplier performance
- Identify potential risks or issues in the supply chain and develop contingency plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize business processes related to material planning

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in material planning or supply chain management is preferred
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and practices
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other inventory management software
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel or similar tools for data analysis
- Experience operating a forklift is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required
- Knowledge of Tableau or other data visualization tools is a plus

Note: All positions at our company are paid positions, including internships.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 months

**Salary**: £27,052.97-£35,000.00 per year
