The Pharmacy Department at the West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to join our team as aLeadAssistant Technical Officer - Distribution.

The postholder will work as part of the pharmacy team of Assistant Technical Officers, Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists to deliver the pharmacy service across North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Trust
- Organise and supervise the day to day activities of all staff working in the distribution and store areas, prioritising and allocating work to all grades of staff working in the distribution and stores areas to ensure a safe and efficient service.
- Co-ordinate the distribution and supply of medicines issued from the distribution area.
- Prioritise all in-coming requisitions and faxed orders according to urgency, obtaining a signed authorisation before the medicines are issued from the pharmacy.
- Organise and undertake in a top-up service to wards and departments including Community services, ensuring a timely replacement of stock medicines.
- Assist in tasks associated with the pharmacy computer system and Omnicell cabinets e.g. search & replace, updating ward lists on all top up Assign items to cabinets, modify bin locations and completing cycle counts

**Standard Check**: £18 + Administration cost of £3.85 = £21.85. Deducted at £6.85 from 1st month salary and £5 deducted from salary over following 3 months.

**Enhanced Check**: £38 + administration cost of £3.90 = £41.90. Deducted at £11.90 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
