Support Practitioner

**Are you looking for a job with satisfaction you'd struggle to find anywhere?** You're in luck as our #TeamHighlandWay are on the look out for a new **Support Practitioner **to join them on a part-time (26 hours per week) basis.

**The Role**

As a member of our team your role will be to provide 1-2-1 support to a fun loving young man who has an amazing sense of humour in his own home. Your main aim will be supporting his day to day personal needs, including meal planning, cooking, housework, personal care and medication. As this young man enjoys an active social life within the local community, we would be looking for you to be enthusiastic about participating and supporting him with his interests including swimming, bowling, woodwork, gardening and socialising at discos, karaoke and fun fairs.

- A caring attitude and approach
- A positive approach to learning
- An understanding of the importance of following routines and guidelines
- The ability to cook
- Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity
- Confidence in the use of computers

**Shift Patterns**

As we're dedicated to providing around the clock support tailored to the needs of each individual, shift patterns will fall into patterns between the hours of 0700-2200 hours and will include weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
