We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Head of Year to join our hard working and supportive
Pastoral Team at St CuthbertMayne

We are looking for a Head of Year who has an ambitious vision for their year group. They will
be able to create a strong sense of belonging and have an in-depth knowledge and
understanding of the pastoral issues that impact on young people and the experience of
supporting students effectively. They will be an effective communicator who builds strong
relationships with their team of Tutors, the wider staff and also with students, their families
and external partners. They will have a good understanding of the academic curriculum and
promote good learning habits.

In addition to being a great leader, in the classroom theywill be an excellent practitioner who is
able to balance the demands of their pastoral leadership and teaching and learning
responsibilities. The ability to teach English, Maths, Geography or Computer Science may be
an advantage.

At St Cuthbert Mayne School we are committed to the professional development of all staff in

Institute for Teaching and other CPD providers such as Leading Schools SouthWest to develop
