Job Title: Cyber Security Architect

Advantage Resourcing are working in partnership with a public sector organisation who are currently seeking for a Cyber Security Architect to join their establishment.
- To be responsible for Cyber Security during the planning, design, development, and documentation of technical solutions, developing all related documentation.
- To ensure that the Cyber Security meets all the relevant industry/national/ legislative/compliance standards and demonstrates consistency of design across all related programmes and projects.
- To propose, define and articulate the impact of new Force initiatives, including changes to existing architecture. Develop and maintain IT security architectures, protocols, operating procedures, and a register of active security controls.
- To participate in and constructively contribute to internal security and resiliency forums, ensuring that cyber security actions are aligned to organisational priority and need.
- To manage the Cyber Security Officer(s) to provide technical input for accreditation required as part of access to secure policing and/or government environments.
- To support Digital Services on IT continuity and recovery testing and associated activities.
- To provide technical specifications and be the primary liaison for independent technical security health checks (penetration testing), taking responsibility for ensuring the timely implementation of agreed remedial actions.
- To develop the security knowledge and understanding of all IT colleagues at a level appropriate to their role.
- To undertake impact assessments of new legislation, threats, IT suppliers, and solutions, and to initiate new or changed IT security controls, protocols, or procedures.
- To support the quality assurance of tender responses from suppliers as they relate to security matters.
- To collaborate with the Managed Service Provider (MSP) and other IT suppliers to ensure that systems and services provided to the Force comply with the Force's security standards and protocols and are "secure by design".
- To risk assess new, and audit existing, systems and services to ensure that security vulnerabilities are identified and remediated.

**Skills required**:

- A recognised professional information security qualification or certification such as CISM, CISSP, ISO27001, CPI Data Security Standard.
- Specialist knowledge of cyber threat assessment tools and techniques
- Knowledge and experience of implementing proactive threat management solutions across organisations.
- Deep knowledge of risk management.
- Deep knowledge of security legislation.
- Understanding of architectural frameworks (eg TOGAF).
- Understanding of IT and related management methods (eg ITIL, PRINCE2, Agile).
