Kenton Black are currently looking for Groundworkers in Inverness.

Starting ASAP

This position will be on a Temporary to Perm Basis.

Transport preferred but not essential.

45 - 50+ Hours average

Must have a valid CSCS Card & PPE

Skill set we are looking for below, Not all require but the majority skills listed required.

1.Lay 70m of 10x5 road kerbs in a day.

2.Lay 100m of edging kerbs in a day.

3.Creed and lay 60m of block paving including cuts and sanding in a day.

4. Set up lines for line and level for kerbing and blocking from reading a drawing or working off the existing tar.

5. Make up and compact base for slabbing. Set lines for line and level for slabbing. Read and understand a plot finishings drawing.

6. Set ironwork to correct levels without the need for an engineer. (gully lids, manhole covers, water tobies etc)

7. Lay 4” drainage within a plot using drawing provided and ensuring correct runs on pipelines are met and that material efficiencies are being managed.

8.Tie in 4” plot drainage to DC’s. Install plot external 4” drainage and form scaffold platform.

9.Filling to fill out a risk assessment based on task to be undertaken. (guidance given to start)

10. Lay and finish concrete works including floors and brushed bays.

11.Communicate with site engineer and site supervisor daily. This will include updates on materials running short before they have run out.

12.Dig and pour a foundation using the drawing and setting out by an engineer. Control the machine ensuring no over dig and control the final levels by using a rotating laser and a level peg.

13.Working with a labourer. Install gullies, kerb log and road crossing ducts. Working with the setting out engineer for line and level.

14.Excavate for main line services. Read the drawing to ensure stepped trench is dug at correct levels and position as per NJUG drawing.

15.Lay tactile paving as per roads detail drawing.

16. Able to rake base coat tar and ensure it is rolled off to the correct height and to the required standard.

17. In date Dumper and Roller CPCS or NPORS competency cards Preferred.
