Foodbank Assistant

**Foodbank Assistant**

Reporting to the Managing Director the Foodbank Assistant will be the first point of contact for foodbank clients requesting food support.

**Core Duties**
- Triaging other telephone and face to face enquiries
- Using the Trussell Trust database and our in-house database to record voucher requests
- Signposting and referring to our in-house services
- Recording all foodbank attendances on the Trussell Trust database
- Raise any concerns through participation at our weekly client meetings
- Recording food donations and food weights on to the Trussell Trust database

**Additional Duties**
- Providing information relating to our Charity to members of the public
- Undertaking any other relevant tasks given by the Managing Director

**Person Specification**

**Experience**

**Essential**
- Experience of working with members of the public
- Experience of administration

**Desirable**
- Experience in customer services
- Experience of working in the charity sector
- Knowledge of some of the issues facing our foodbank users
- Experience of providing information and guidance

**Key Skills**
- Able to work constructively as a member of a team
- Able to make decisions alone and to prioritise work under pressure
- Good organisational skills
- Proactive and reactive
- IT literacy

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 18 months
Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: £10.70 per hour

- Monday to Friday
