Butler Rose Procurement are delighted to be recruiting for a leading construction and engineering firm who are currently transforming their procurement function.

About the Company:
This is a leading construction and engineering organisation which has run some major and high-profile projects. The company is going through a major transformation as is their procurement function which is moving to become a more strategic provider to the business. There is a heavy focus on building materials procurement as well as some capital equipment.

This is a really good job opportunity for the right person, and this will be a development role and the company is looking for someone to come in and grow in the role. You would be provided with the support and mentorship to really develop your procurement skills and move into a buyer role over time. This is a hybrid role with a couple of days in the office, and they have multiple locations across Greater London and some home counties so there are a number of locations that can be considered.

About the Role:
This Assistant Buyer role, will be a key role in the team. You will be given exposure to all areas of the procurement life-cycle. The company is happy to provide the training and development to succeed in the role. They are open to someone who brings some procurement experience, or potentially someone with good building materials experience and the ability to transition into such a role.

What you can bring:

- Some previous procurement experience would be an advantage here, but they would consider someone who has worked in a supporting or administrative role.
- Ideally you would have some experience of working in the construction or buildings materials industry
- A high level of energy and willingness to learn is required here
