Hotel Receptionist

We are looking for a Hotel Receptionist to join our passionate guest-focused Front Office team at this well established 4* Hotel in Sidmouth.

This role is responsible for greeting guests and ensuring that they receive an efficient and friendly check-in and check-out. The role also involves rooming our guests, answering enquiries and providing information about the hotel and local area to guests. You will be expected to organise special requests and communicate with all departments within the hotel to ensure that our guests receive the highest standard of service.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival
- Check-in and check-out guests efficiently and accurately
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries
- Handle guest complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Process payments and maintain accurate records of guest transactions
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and faxing

Qualifications:

- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in using phone systems and computer software
- Attention to detail and ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with professionalism
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
