**Description**:
**Pay rate**: £15.00 - £17.00 per hour - Based on Days/Weekend Shifts

Full UK Drivers license required due to tasks required whilst on shift.

**Shift Pattern**:
Monday 7am - 5pm,

Tuesday 11am - 6pm,

Wednesday 10am - 9:30pm,

Thursday 11am - 6pm,

Friday 11am, 6pm,

Sat 11am-6pm

**Location**: Chorley

Unfortunately we cannot provide **_VISA_** **_sponsorship_** **and we do not hire on a relocation basis, you must currently be based within a commutable distance to Chorley.

This role will be supporting a lovely gentleman who presents disabilities closely associated to cerebral palsy and has other cognitive disabilities, disabilities with social and communication functioning.

He requires a strong Support Worker who can accompany him during his day to day activities which includes attending college classes and being out in the community.

This is a **permanent** position.

**Requirements**:

- Worked as a carer previously in the UK (Preferably atleast 3 months experience)
- Experience working closely with families of the supported (preferred)
- Experience managing cerebral palsy would be beneficial but not _essential_
- Experience working with brain injuries would be beneficial but not _essential_
- Full UK drivers license is **MANDATORY** to be considered for this role
- Clinical experience would be beneficial but not essential, as you will potentially have to assist with various duties as well as personal care.

At Team Brain Injury, we support adults and young people who have needs attributed to Brain/Spinal injuries and or Mental Health conditions with associated complex needs.

Your role is support is to meet his medical, personal care and day-to-day assistance needs. You will work alone and as part of a team, operating on shifts to provide 24/7 care.

Our support workers cover all manners of support for others - from companionship and days out, to personal care and housekeeping.

You’ll receive fully paid, on the job training and you’ll have the opportunity to build your skills whilst cultivating a trusted relationship with the person you support.

**Skills, Knowledge and Expertise**:

- Able to prepare meals
- Potentially administer medication and Ideally hold an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care or related topic, or be willing to study towards this
