Junior Estimator

At Mega Glass we manufacture glass for the Construction industry. Most of it is internal such as showers, mirrors, splashbacks, feature walls, shelves, display boxes, a hotel reception desk, balustrades and partitions. Much of it is unique and designed by us to deliver the Designer/Architects concept by using back lit glass, printed glass, laminated glass etc. All of it is bespoke. Our team of 50 work out of 34 square feet of manufacturing space and modern offices.

Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:

- Interpret customer requests that come in: These might be in the form of written requests, measured drawings, project documentation, contracts etc to determine project scope and requirements etc
- Gather necessary information for accurate cost estimation including speaking to customer to get any missing information/discuss possible options, getting quotes from 3rd party suppliers where necessary etc
- Utilise a combination of our in-house estimating software and Excel to prepare quotation, check your work for **accuracy **and send to customer, always within prescribed and often very short timelines
- Follow-up all quotes with call to customer within 48 hours to ensure receipt, confirm they have all they need from us etc.
- Hand over confirmed jobs to Fulfilment eam/Project Management team to manufacture, deliver and/or install
- Monday to Thursday 8-5 and 8.30-5.30 alternate weeks and 8-5 every Friday

**Requirements**:

- Proficient in using software and tools:

- Excellent mathematical skills with a focus on accuracy
- A true communicator, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Note: All positions at our company are paid positions.
