**Production Editor**

We are looking for an experienced Production Editor to manage the editorial process of Summit magazine, the quarterly membership magazine for all members of the British Mountaineering Council.

**Key duties**:

- Controlling copy flow between the Comms team and design department and troubleshooting to ensure the process runs smoothly, without bottlenecks
- Manage stakeholders/freelancers, maintaining agreed schedules and high-quality standards
- Liaise with authors and provide guidance on production editorial processes

**Experience/skills required**:

- Excellent command of written English, including the ability to adapt tone to magazine style
- Proven skills in copy editing and proofreading with a high level of accuracy
- Keen eye for detail and a meticulous, collaborative and flexible approach to work
- Proven organisation abilities, with experience of editorial processes and prioritising workload
- Good communication skills with the ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels
