**Job Title**: Crime Prosecution Administrator

**Salary**: £28,511 to £30,504 plus a location allowance of £1,721. You will receive £28,511 the band minimum. Progress to the band maximum of £30,504 will be via incremental progression.

This is an exciting time to be working as Crime Prosecution Administrator for the Metropolitan Police Service. As a Crime Prosecution Administrator, you will be providing admin support to Police Officers in crime related cases ensuring records are kept of the storage, location and destruction dates of paperwork generated in relation to these cases. You will also assist Police officers with the retrieval of paper files in order to deal with requests for reports and documents from solicitors and insurance companies for crime related road traffic incidents.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Navigating a wide range of computer systems
- Processing incoming queries and information from a variety of different sources such as the Crown Prosecution Service and the Probation ServiceAssisting officers to upload large documents to an electronic case file system for transmission to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS)Preparing digital Postal Charge and Requisitions through the Police National ComputerDownloading Custody RecordsSending hard media such as CCTV and records of interviews to CPS
- Costing and supplying documents and Police Reports to insurance companies and solicitors in crime related road traffic accidents

There will be other duties as required and as directed by line management.

**Additional Information**

This role is office based and you can work Monday to Friday in general office hour times between 07:00 to 18:00 in line with the flexi-time policy. These are a full-time post working 36 hours a week. However, there are opportunities for flexible working to be considered in line with the business needs of the role. You may also be required to work at other locations on the BCU or within Met Prosecution area you work on a temporary basis.

**Essential Criteria**
- Able to deliver quality outcomes to meet objectives
- Able to work with mínimal supervision
- Able to work within a small team
- Able to manage your own time and resources effectively and efficiently
- An understanding of the Criminal Justice System and the Crown Prosecution Service
- Need to be prepared to undergo formal training to be able to use Met Crime Systems in particular PNC

**Desirable Criteria**
- Experience working with Police Officers
- Experience working with the Crown Prosecution Service
- Experience working with the Court Service
- Able to access and use CRIS, Custody, EArchive, PNC and COPA
- Knowledge of Met Crime systems, such as, CRIS, Custody, EArchive, PNC, and COPA.
