Taylor Rose MW is a **Smart Modern Top 60 Law Firm**, leaders in the Law Sector, we are seeking an Interim Senior **Accountant** to join our London Bridge Team on a minimum 6 Month Contract. As the **Accountant** you will work with the Financial Controller and Finance manager to support Month End Reporting and strive to work with the Finance Team to enhance the service delivered to TRMW. You will be Qualified with some **Post Qualified** experience due to the nature of the role and responsibility. We are able to offer**Hybrid** working, with min. 2 days spent in the London Bridge office and flexible to travel to other offices.

**The Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate monthly financial close process for the TR entity which includes preparation of GL journal entries, supporting documentation and subsequent P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Analyse P&L and Balance Sheet variances using advanced Excel skills and writing of clear, concise commentary to aid understanding of key drivers
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns for the TR entity and supporting the Finance Manager in a review of current VAT registrations
- Assist Finance Manager in resolving legacy reconciling items and performing an overall tidy up and streamlining of existing month end reconciliations
- Focus on continual process improvement in all aspects of the role from a technology, control and organization perspective while producing high quality documentation
- Effectively communicate issues and provide advice to other TR offices, the rest of the Finance team (AP, Cashiers, Billing, Credit Control) and the wider Finance team within the Group
- Support less experienced people in resolving queries on technical accounting, systems and processes while continuing to set priorities and support achievement

**The person**:

- Qualified Accountant with strong **financial and management accounting** background
- Accounting qualification (ACA, ACMA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Legal experience preferred but not essential
- Practice background preferred but not essential
- Experience of working in high performing teams with willingness to help and appreciation of the importance of deadlines and commitments and being able to multi-task. Ability to operate in a calm and friendly manner essential
- Ability to manage relationships and communicate at all levels across all departments
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
