Shawlands Out of School Care is looking for a part-time assistant to assist in the preparation of snack and beverages for children at our Shawlands location. This position is ideal for someone who is interested in creating healthy snacks for children, who likes working in a childcare setting. Understands the importance of children's allergies, milk and diary free, gluten free, nut free allergies.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in food service or other related fields preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to follow directions and complete tasks with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work in a team environment and interact with children and team members
- Ability to follow all health and safety standards
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures


**Responsibilities**:The responsibilities of this position include**:(i) Prepare food for serving by following established procedures, create a weekly snack menu. (ii) Greet children with a friendly smile and assist them when needed working with children age range 4-12 (iii) Maintain cleanliness of service area - wash dishes, wash utensils, sanitize work areas, perform necessary safety checks (refrigerator check temp, and food dates) (iv) ingredients in appropriate locations, stock supplies correctly, obey sanitation regulations, work safely around equipment/foods and people at all times.**
